Several Guild members enjoyed a day long demonstration and hands-on workshop with Peter Rush. Peter explained to the group that he worked as a freelance illustrator for BBC TV’s ‘Jackanory’ for twenty five years, then focused on paper sculpture modelling. He demonstrated his unique technique for sculpting a head from chicken wire and softened paper.

After watching and listening to Peter explain his method, he told the group that their hands-on task would be to each create a wire and paper sculpture of a bird.
After a bit more instruction the members set to work with a will.
