The Guild Annual General Meeting was held in Broad Town on Saturday 10th February. This marks the official full stop to 2023 and the start of events for 2024.
The Officers presented their various reports to assembled members and a new committee was elected by unanimous vote. We are delighted to welcome member Sally Turner to her new role as Membership Secretary and to welcome back as Chairman, member Jenny Pepper.
Christine Gill led a vote of thanks to the out going committee for their sterling work on behalf of the Guild during 2023. Out going Chairman Jim Dowton concluded the meeting by announcing the award of the Chairman’s Cup to Viv Lucas who was standing down from her roles as Joint Chair and Membership Secretary. Guild President Joy Burden presented the Cup to a surprised and delighted Viv, after which Members enjoyed a light lunch and an art auction presided over by Jenny Pepper.
