Message from the Chairman (17 March 2020)

PLEASE NOTE;  ALL GUILD OF WILTSHIRE ARTISTS WORKSHOPS AND EVENTS ARE CANCELLED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

In the light of government information and advice and the restrictions announced yesterday afternoon, particularly those focused on social distancing, it is with great regret that the Committee and Officers have agreed to cancel all Monday evening events at Hook and all Friday/Saturday workshops at Broad Town until further notice.

We must recognise not only that a large proportion of our members are in the high risk group but to leave our events open would mean generally going against official advice which is highly inadvisable for obvious reasons. We are obviously sorry to do this and realise that the only opportunity that some members get to do art is at the workshops and can only hope that you are all able to find a quiet space to carry on painting and drawing until the world gets back to normal. In summary, with immediate effect all Guild of Wiltshire Artists workshops and events are CANCELLED until further notice.

Update from the Chairman (14 May 2020)

Due to the uncertainties in respect of Coronavirus the committee regrettably took the decision to to cancel our July Summer Exhibition at St Peter’s, Marlborough.  Options will be kept open for the time being on our planned Autumn exhibition in October at The John Bowen Gallery, Malmesbury.
