For their May Monthly Meeting a group of Guild members gather for an evening of fun and experimentation – pouring, dripping and splashing different mediums to create some free form art works. Everyone had a different interpretation of the brief and brought a variety of materials to work with, these included acrylic inks, watercolour and fluid acrylic paint.
We were also pleased to welcome our newest member, Anna Caroline Morison, who joined us for the first time. She decided to work on a piece of art which she already had on the go. This is always an option for our Monday evening sessions if the suggested topic does not appeal to you or you feel that you would just like to observe.
Below you can see some of the creations from the evening’s experimental session.
Members and visitors are invited to join us on the 17th June for our next monthly meeting which will feature a demonstration by visiting artist Colin Brown. Colin will be painting a cityscape in acrylics.
