On Saturday 28 February the Guild held its Annual General Meeting. Chairman Antonetta Newton-Tyers thanked everyone for attending the meeting and for their year round support. She expressed her gratitude to the committee and sub-committee without whom the Guild would not operate. Reflecting on a successful year in 2025, she remarked that participation in the Summer and Autumn exhibitions was good and the standard excellent. Monday evening workshops were interesting, with new challenges and new techniques. Broad Town workshops are hugely successful year on year and they encouraged new members, giving them confidence to exhibit.
Following the business of the AGM the re-elected Chairman, Antonetta, presented the Chairman’s Cup to Sonia Leggett with many thanks for all her hard work heading up the Guild Programme sub-committee and for her commitment to and support of the Monday Monthly meetings, all agreed it was a well deserved award.
