Member Nicky Robinson has been using drawing to relieve stress during the days of lock down caused by the health crisis. Her latest works have been influenced by the style of Aubrey Beardsley after watching a documentary about his work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’ve been thinking about imaginary room settings when the clock strikes 8pm on Thursdays and everyone is outside clapping.

The blue image (above) is inspired by her sister-in-law who was one of the volunteers making scrubs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aubrey Beardsley<\/a> shocked and delighted late-Victorian London with his sinuous black and white drawings. He explored the erotic and the elegant, the humorous and grotesque, winning admirers around the world with his distinctive style.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The largest exhibition of Beardsley’s drawings for 50 years is currently on display at the Tate Britain.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
